유비호(*1970년)는
2000년 첫 개인전 <강철태양> 이후 동시대 예술가들과 전시기획자들 그리고 미디어 사회연구자들과 함께 미디어로서 긴밀히 연결되어있는 사회에서 새로운 예술적 활동들을 실행하기 위하여 <해킹을 통한 미술행위(2001)>, < Parasite-Tactical Media Networks(2004-2006) > 등을 공동 조직하고 연구하며 활동해 왔다. 또한 작가는 이 활동들을 기획하고 실행 하면서, 이전 사회와 차별화되어 나타나는 동시대의 다양하고 특별한 사건들과 상황들을 들여다보기 위한 내밀한 미적 질문들을 던지는 프로젝트들-<극사적 실천(2010)>, <공조탈출(2010)>, <트윈픽스 (2011)>, <해 질 녘 나의 하늘에는(2015)>, < Letter from the Netherworld(2018) >, <미제(2020)> 등-을 실행 했었다.

작가는 현실의 다양한 층위들에 접속하며 새로운 가능성들을 모색할 수 있는 방법으로 비디오, 퍼포먼스, 라이브 방송 등을 활용하여, 단순히 상품-교환가치로 만연해 있는 지금시대의 텅 빈 세계와 미래에 대한 일방적 판타지로서가 아닌, 근대(성)의 정면이 보여주는 마술환등(phanasmagoria)의 환영, 이미지, 물신의 환영들이 비추어지는 주어진 역사에서의 위험, 비상사태를 드러내려하고 있다.
